Pro Case Study
Furnished rentals that feel personal and cozy.
Placemakr’s goal was to furnish apartments that felt like home, fast.
It can take years to get truly comfortable in a space. Placemakr’s goal is to make it happen in a weekend.
A property management firm focused on long-and-short term rentals, Placemakr builds out apartment-style stays equipped with a kitchen and living area.
When they took on the project in Arlington VA, the Placemakr team was missing one important element—an in-house designer. Thankfully as an Article Pro+ Member, Placemakr had access to their very own account manager and Article’s in-house interior design team.
About the Space:
No in-house designer
Tight construction timeline
Limited on-site personnel
Muted blues soften the clean lines of the mid-century style Lenia sideboard and Burrard loveseat.
Integrated dining spaces need sturdy pieces like the Svelti dining chair, or the round Seno table.
Layouts are simple, emphasizing beautiful materials as on the Sven leather sofa.
The upholstered Tessu bed brings soothing style to the bedroom.
The Bovi rug's repeating pattern makes it a stand-out piece without taking over the room.
A small kitchen is maximized by having both bar seating and cafe seating.
By outlining what they needed from the team, Placemakr and Article were able to collaborate on the perfect mix of furnishings for their rental units: earthy leathers and blue tones make the spaces feel personal and lived in, while smart upholstery and finish options ensure the spaces are easy to clean and maintain.
Placemakr’s favorite part of working with Article?
“Quality of the product,” said Director of Procurement Matt Lorenz. A man of few words, but great taste.
“Super helpful working with the Article team.”
